Shachar Rabinovitch, age 13, wrote to retired Cambridge University professor Dr. Marsha Levine for help with a school project. The Israeli girl had questions about Dr. Levine’s field of study, the genetics of horse breeding. It was a simple and polite request from a child who shares Dr. Levine’s interest in horses and, coincidentally, her Jewish heritage. Any reasonable person would have expected an equally polite response, whether the academic researcher felt inclined to help or not. But shockingly the only reply Shachar received was full of hate. “I’ll answer your questions when there is peace and justice for Palestinians…

Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke yesterday in honor of the 68th anniversary of the historic day which laid the foundation for the re-birth of the State of Israel. “Today is the 29th of November. Sixty-eight years ago today, on the 29th of November, the UN decided to recognize a Jewish state in the Land of Israel, a decision that advanced the establishment of the State of Israel. The next day, Jewish communities were under increasingly murderous attacks. As it was then, so it is today; we continue to fight terrorism. This terrorism has been with us for almost 100 years and…

In the wake of the ISIS attack on Paris, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that “militant Islamic terrorism attacks our societies because it wants to destroy our civilization,” which is why “all terrorism must be condemned and fought equally with unwavering determination.” Netanyahu is among those who find no excuse for Islamic terror. Some European leaders, on the other hand, are doing what they have done all along – blaming Israel and the West for Islamic violence. Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom was rebuffed by some Israeli officials, like Yair Lapid, who misunderstood her as justifying Palestinian terror while condemning ISIS…

“On behalf of the people and Government of Israel, I extend our deepest sympathies to the people of France and to the families of those who were brutally murdered in Paris last night. We also extend our wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded. Israel stands shoulder-to-shoulder with France in this common battle against militant Islamic terrorism. I’ve instructed Israel’s security and intelligence forces to assist their French counterparts and their counterparts from other European countries in any way possible. Terrorism is the deliberate and systematic targeting of civilians. It can never be justified. Terrorism must always be condemned.…

The European Union has made no secret of its intention to single Israeli settlements out for economic discrimination by labeling Israeli products made in the West Bank. This week, this policy was approved and put in place despite Israel’s intense objection that to do so would unfairly discriminate against Israel’s manufacturers and advance the cause of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement. The Israeli political Right and Left were united in condemning this decision as anti-Semitic and an eerie throw-back to the Holocaust when Jews in Europe were forced to identify themselves with a yellow star. Leaders in Israel said…

Two young Palestinian boys aged just 12 and 13 stabbed and seriously wounded a Jewish security guard at the light rail station in Jerusalem’s northern Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood on Tuesday. One of the boys was shot and seriously wounded by his victim. The other was captured by security forces. It was the second stabbing attack in Jerusalem on Tuesday morning. In the other incident, an Arab man attempted to stab police officers near the Old City’s Damascus Gate only to be shot and neutralized before he could draw blood. The Pisgat Ze’ev attack was reminiscent of a similar stabbing last…

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu flew to DC on Sunday night to meet with US President Obama on Monday. The visit was the first meeting between the two leaders since the controversial Iran Deal was finalized despite Israel’s intense objections. In this meeting, Netanyahu hoped to smooth over recent tensions between his country and the US. Here are the opening remarks from the start of Monday’s meeting at the White House: President Obama: “Welcome once again Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu to the Oval Office. There’s no foreign leader who I’ve met with more frequently and I think that’s a testimony to…

This instructive video shows what news reports would look like if they applied their outrageous Israel-reporting techniques to terrorist attacks in the rest of the world. In the hope of lessening the egregious anti-Israel bias, here are some pointers to members of the media: Your job is to report facts, not reinforce a narrative. Really. The facts matter – they form the basis for judgments. So here are some facts for you, meticulously documented and updated (with details and graphs worthy of a data scientist) in a shared Google spreadsheet by Nehemia Gershuni-Aylho. According to his data, in the fifty days from September 11 through…

This week the US House of Representatives passed a bi-partisan resolution explicitly condemning the Palestinian leadership’s incitement of terror which has led to nearly a thousand attacks on Israelis in the last two months. 369 members signed a letter telling President Abbas to end his incitement and stop the violence or risk losing hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign aid from the United States. Unlike President Obama and Secretary Kerry, the House of Representatives made it clear that there is no moral equivalency between the terrorists and their victims. The resolution’s sponsor, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, made this statement after…

The terrorism and violent protests that have plagued Israel nearly every day since September 14th of this year has drawn the attention of the world. But not to pressure the Palestinian leadership to get their people under control and bring an end to the violence. Instead, world leaders repeatedly condemn Israel for causing Palestinian anger by allowing settlements in the West Bank. One of the most popular claims made by those who are critical of Israel is that under international law, Israel is an illegal occupier of the West Bank. But as you can see in this video, international law…
